I define Corn/Chicken Soup as a "thick soup made here in Saipan". However, anyone who tasted this delicious dish knows that this definition is to bland to describe Corn/Chicken Soup. It is true that Corn/Chicken Soup is a thick soup, but is much more than that. Corn/Chicken Soup, one of the most popular soup here in Saipan, it is made out of corn, chicken broth, or sometimes mixed with crab imitation and some frozen mixed vegetables. Regardless of the ingredients in corn/chicken soup; this is a very tasty dish.

Define a word in your Culture

Respect

According to the dictionary there are several definitions for respect. Christmas is is celebrated on December 25th. It is celebrated because Christmas is the day Jesus Christ was born. It is celebrated in honor of his birth date. People celebrate Christmas by preparing special foods, decorating their homes with Christmas lights, joining in singing Christmas Songs, and giving gifts.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, because in my culture, Christmas is very special. My family will go and attend mass, after mass we will go back home and we will open their gifts at the same time, my family prepares food for dinner. On Christmas, our Catholic practice here in Saipan is after mass, on Christmas day 25th, we will take the Statue of Baby Jesus and take it house to house in our village. Children enjoy that part. That is why Christmas is my favorite holiday since I was young.

My Favorite Persons

September 22, 2005

My favorite persons are my two kids.
